Vembanad Lake, one of the largest lakes in India spreads over Kottayam, Alleppey and , Ernakulam.These type of fresh water Lakes are not common in the World, and so it is very enjoyable. By Flight

You can come down to Kumarakom from the Nedumbassery Intl. Airport at Kochi, in Ernakulam Dist.(90 KM) and also from the Trivandrum Intl. Airport (180 KM) by car.

By Rail
You can come from Ernakulam (65 KM), Alappuzha (39 KM), Cherthala (22KM) and from Kottayam Rly Station (15 KM) by car or in passenger bus.

By Road

From Munnar (165 KM) and from Thekkady (125 KM) you can come to Kumarakom through Kottayam by car or passenger bus.

By Auto / Car from Kumarakom

It is only one kilometer south of Kumarakom Govt Boat Jetty and is 2 KM south west of Kumarakom Market Junction.
Name of the Road: Illikkalam Lake Resort is on the right side of the Ammankary-Nava Nazareth Road, just 150 meters before Nava Nazareth Junction in Kumarakom.
