Why is
Kumarakom
more attractive, enjoyable and relaxing to the tourists
compared to other places in the Districts of Alleppey
and Ernakulam?
Why has Kumarakom
been chosen the place for the Honorable Prime
Minister to have his holidaying for more than a
week?

Well, the answer is
simple and is quite interesting. The Arabian Sea is on
the west and Kumarakom is on the east and we can
experience the beautiful Sunset .The breeze mostly blows
from west to east and so the Vembanad Lake at Kumarakom,
is having more cool breeze and more powerful waves.
Moreover, the Lake is having its maximum length (25Kms)
and breadth (7 kms.) at these area at Kumarakom, here
lies the reason behind the beauty of Vembanad Lake at
Kumarakom. All over the world one can try to experience
the Sea, as the sea is very common, but people cannot
enjoy the Sea in it’s maximum, as there is severe
breeze, dangerous waves, deadly undercurrents, dangerous
Sharks and other kinds of fish etc. therefore it is
usually not wise to experience the Sea for swimming,
boating etc
"An unbelievably
beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green
paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with
enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white
lilies. Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small
water world you'll come across plenty of traditional
country crafts, boats and canoes which will take you
into the heart of the scenic lake. The resorts nearby
offer comfortable accommodation and exclusive leisure
options like an Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation,
boating, fishing, angling and swimming"
But in the case of
Vembanad Lake, there are no dangerous waves, no
undercurrents, and no dangerous fish, it is peaceful and
have pleasant cool breeze, looks like the sea, beautiful
waves, all kinds of Boating for everybody is possible
without any fear, swimming into the Lake during day and
night is safe, even in the nights and during the monsoon
season one can enjoy and relax by being very close to
the lake.
